When Instagram stories first popped up, it really changed the way we used the app.
It's a great way to help your followers get to know you or your brand on a more personal level.
As a social media manager, I know that Instagram stories can help you connect and interact more with your followers. If you’re a brand, it’s a great way to get more personal with your followers and give your brand or business a sense of personality.
Here are some of my top tips and favorite features when using Instagram stories!
1. Polls
Using the polls feature on Instagram stories is a great way to increase engagement on Instagram! When doing polls, keep it related to the content you typically post. For instance, if your Instagram is based on clothing/fashion, the polls could be “This or that fall fashion”. Your followers can choose their favorite with a simple tap! Not only is it super quick and easy for your followers, but it’s a nice way to see what your audience likes and increase your engagement.
2. Q&A
Using the Ask Me A Question feature is a perfect way to answer popular questions for your followers to see. This can also be a great way to answer some fun and interesting questions to not only entertain your followers but also help them get to know you!
3. Video content
Video is one of the most engaging forms of content. It’s especially great to use in a more casual way like you can on stories. If you’re promoting a product or service, talking through how to use it or the amazing benefits is perfect to do on video. It seems much more personal and inviting. Some other cool Insta story video ideas could be “A day in the life” where you take them through your daily routine and work life. You can give some insight on many goes into your business or account.
